A renewal of a tax for the benefit of New Athens Village for the purpose of current expense that the county auditor estimates will collect $3,541 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $35 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1-mill, 5-year property tax (about $3,541 a year) for New Athens Village's current expenses.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
