The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of New Market Township for the purpose of maintaining and operating township cemeteries, that the county auditor estimates will collect $19,757 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $10 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for five years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.5-mill, 5-year property tax to maintain and operate New Market Township cemeteries, estimated to collect $19,757 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
