A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Knox County for the purpose of providing or maintaining senior citizens services or facilities for Knox County senior citizens that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,155,031 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.79 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $28 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.79-mill, 5-year Knox County property tax (about $1.16 million a year) for senior citizens services or facilities.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
