A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District, for the purpose of permanent improvements that the county auditor estimates will collect $744,260 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $11 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.5-mill, 5-year property tax for Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District permanent improvements, estimated to collect $744,260 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
On every Lawrence County ballot except Washington Township's (the board's notice lists it for all precincts excluding Washington). Ballot heading: "Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal) Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District". The Secretary of State's list shows the district overlapping into Gallia County; Gallia County's notice does not list the issue.
