A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Rome Township for the purpose of fire protection that the county auditor estimates will collect $93,000 at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $12 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027 first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1-mill, 5-year property tax for Rome Township fire protection, estimated to collect $93,000.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
On the Labelle 1–7 and Miller ballots (not the Athalia village precinct). Ballot heading: "Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal) Rome Township".
