The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of Hanover, for the purpose of fire protection and emergency medical services in the Village, that the county auditor estimates will collect $41,644 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $30 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.5-mill, 5-year Hanover property tax (about $41,644 a year) for fire protection and emergency medical services in the village.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
