The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of the Township of Newark for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges that the county auditor estimates will collect $174,566 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $53 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for a period of 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote adds a 1.5-mill, 5-year Newark Township property tax (about $174,566 a year) for streets, roads and bridges.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
