The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Lorain County for the purpose of providing for expenditures necessary for the support of Children Services, for the care and placement of abused, neglected and dependent children, and for the Bureau of Children with Medical Handicaps that the county auditor estimates will collect $5,405,086 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.45 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $16 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 0.45-mill, 5-year property tax for Lorain County children services and the Bureau of Children with Medical Handicaps.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
