The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Lorain County for the purpose of operating expenses, for the Lorain County General Health District that the county auditor estimates will collect $3,785,431 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $11 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.5-mill, 5-year property tax for the operating expenses of the Lorain County General Health District.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
On the ballot in all of Lorain County except the City of Vermilion's Lorain County precincts (VMC 1A, 3A/5A, 4A, 5B), which are in the Erie County General Health District.
