Article VIII, Section 2 - NONPARTISAN PRIMARY Shall Article VIII, Section 2 of the Charter of the City of Oregon be amended as follows: Candidates for Mayor and Council to be voted for at any regular municipal election under the provisions of this charter shall be nominated at a nonpartisan primary election to be held in odd numbered years on the date as may be provided in the general laws of the state for the holding of primary elections, if there are more than double the number of candidates to be elected to the office of Mayor or to the office of member of City Council. There shall not be a primary election if there are fewer candidates than set forth above?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote holds Oregon's nonpartisan primary in odd-numbered years on the state primary date, only when candidates exceed double the seats for Mayor or Council.

A “No” vote means

A no vote keeps Article VIII, Section 2 as it is.
