A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Springfield Township for the purpose of protection against fire, and to provide and maintain fire apparatus, or other fire equipment and appliances, buildings or sites therefore, sources of water supply and materials therefore, or lines for fire-alarm communications, and to pay permanent, part-time, or contingent fire-fighting personnel or companies to operate such equipment, including payment of any employer contributions required under Revised Code 742.34, or to purchase ambulance equipment, or to provide ambulance or emergency medical services operated by a fire department or fire-fighting company, that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,160,504 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.8 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $43 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
