Chapter III, Section 14 to be amended to update language to be more aligned with state law, and in particular to remove the requirement that a candidate who has filed a nominating petition for a primary election must also file a written acceptance of nomination with election authorities. Chapter III, Section 17 to be amended to bring the criteria for designation as a write-in candidate in line with state election law by requiring any potential write-in candidate to declare their intent to run on the forms prescribed by the state. Chapter VI, Section 83 to be amended to increase the deadline for which an election on referendum or initiative petitions must be held within from 75 days to 90 days. Chapter VI, Section 92 to be amended to require any petitions filed to be consistent with the forms prescribed by the state. Shall the proposed amendments to the Charter of the City of Toledo, as set forth in Ordinance 304-26, be adopted?
