A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Austintown Township for the purpose of parks and recreational purposes, that the county auditor estimates will collect $321,610 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.8 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $10 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.8-mill, 5-year property tax (about $321,610 a year) for Austintown Township parks and recreation.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
