A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. An additional tax for the benefit of West Branch Local School District for the purpose of general permanent improvements that the county auditor estimates will collect $441,471 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $35 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 1-mill, 5-year property tax (about $441,471 a year) for West Branch Local School District permanent improvements.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
The district spans Mahoning, Columbiana and Portage counties; the same question appears on Columbiana County ballots (Butler and Knox townships).
