The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall bonds be issued by York Township for the purpose of constructing a fire station addition and related improvements; furnishing and equipping the same; and improving the sites thereof in the principal amount of $5,050,000, to be repaid annually over a maximum period of 29 years, and an annual levy of property taxes be made outside the ten-mill limitation, estimated by the county auditor to average over the repayment period of the bond issue 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $35 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027, to pay the annual debt charges on the bonds, and to pay debt charges on any notes issued in anticipation of those bonds?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves $5,050,000 in bonds for a fire station addition, repaid over up to 29 years by a property tax averaging 1 mill.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the bond issue and its property tax.
