The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Columbia Township for the purpose of construction and structural improvement for the Fire Department, that the county auditor estimates will collect $247,707 annually, at a rate not exceeding 5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $175 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves an additional 5-mill, 5-year property tax for construction and structural improvement for the Columbia Township Fire Department, estimated to collect $247,707 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
