A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Meigs County for the purpose of providing and maintaining senior citizens services or facilities (Meigs County Council on Aging, Inc. Multipurpose Senior Citizens Center), that the county auditor estimates will collect $707,324 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.6 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $55 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.6-mill, 5-year Meigs County property tax for senior citizens services or facilities (Meigs County Council on Aging), estimated to collect $707,324 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
