Meigs County Sheriff's Office levy (additional, continuing)

An additional tax for the benefit of Meigs County, Ohio for the purpose of operating the Office of the Sheriff of Meigs County, Ohio, including the provision and maintenance of motor vehicles, communications, and other equipment, and buildings and sites for such buildings, used directly in that operation; the payment of salaries of permanent or part-time deputies, communications personnel, and administrative personnel of said Office, including the payment of any employer contributions required for such personnel under section 145.48 or 742.33 of the Ohio Revised Code; and the payment of other related operating costs of said office, that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,730,186 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2.88 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $100.80 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
