The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of 4 mills and an increase of 2 mills for each $1 of taxable value to constitute a tax for the benefit of Monroe Township Fire District One for the purpose of fire protection services and emergency medical services that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,332,732 annually, at a rate not exceeding 6 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $160 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews 4 mills and adds 2 mills, for a 6-mill, 5-year property tax for Monroe Township Fire District One fire protection and emergency medical services.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal and increase.
On the Monroe East Central, Monroe North East, Monroe South East and Monroe West ballots (not in Tipp City or Monroe South). Ballot heading: "Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal and Increase) Monroe Township Fire District One".
