A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Washington Township for the purpose of providing fire protection, ambulance or emergency medical services, underwater rescue and recovery equipment, that the county auditor estimates will collect $276,898 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $46 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 2.5-mill, 5-year Washington Township property tax (about $276,898 a year) for fire protection and emergency medical services.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
