A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of Somerset for the purpose of police protection, that the county auditor estimates will collect $150,772 annually, at a rate not exceeding 6.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $169 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 6.5-mill, 5-year property tax (about $150,772 a year) for police protection in the Village of Somerset.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
