A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Thorn Township for the purpose of payment of permanent, part-time, or volunteer firefighting and emergency medical services, that the county auditor estimates will collect $506,348 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $64 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 3-mill, 5-year property tax (about $506,348 a year) for firefighting and emergency medical services in Thorn Township.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
