The question, as printed on the ballot

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Portage County for the purpose of meeting the necessary requirements of the county's mental health and recovery services district and for funding current expenses of the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Portage County, such as expenses including the operation of alcohol and drug addiction programs and mental health programs supported by the Mental Health and Recovery Board, that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,157,027 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.3 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $6 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 10 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 0.3-mill, 10-year county property tax (about $1.16 million a year) for the Mental Health and Recovery Board's programs.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
