The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Jefferson Township, excluding the Village of Bellville, for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of township roads and bridges, that the county auditor estimates will collect $199,992 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $70 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 2-mill, 5-year property tax for Jefferson Township roads and bridges outside Bellville, estimated to collect $199,992 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
