The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Huntington Township for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or sites, or to provide ambulance or emergency medical services operated by a fire department and be it further, that the county auditor estimates will collect $85,079 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.0 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $35 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1-mill, 5-year property tax (about $85,079 a year) for fire equipment and buildings and ambulance or emergency medical services in Huntington Township.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
