A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Clay Township for the purpose of police protection: motor vehicles, communications, payment of salaries or equipment used directly in the operation of the police department, ambulance/emergency medical service by a police department, that the county auditor estimates will collect $287,634 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3.8 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $92 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 3 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 3.8-mill, 3-year property tax for Clay Township police protection, estimated to collect $287,634 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
