A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Washington Township for the purpose of police protection, including motor vehicles, communications, payment of salaries or equipment used directly in the operation of the police department, that the county auditor estimates will collect $59,836 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $24 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1-mill, 5-year property tax for Washington Township police protection, estimated to collect $59,836 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
