The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Lexington Township for the purpose of the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads, and bridges, that the county auditor estimates will collect $251,936 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $53 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 1.5-mill, 5-year property tax (about $251,936 a year) for Lexington Township roads and bridges.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
