The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Plain Township Road District for the purpose of providing for the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads, and bridges, that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,116,226 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $24 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.5-mill, 5-year property tax (about $1.12 million a year) for roads and bridges in the Plain Township Road District.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
