Issue 36: Stow charter amendment creating an Acting Finance Director

Charter Issue - Shall Article 6, Department of Finance, of the Charter for the City of Stow be amended by adding a new section as follows: SECTION 6.08 ACTING FINANCE DIRECTOR. The Assistant Director of the General Division shall become the Acting Finance Director with all the powers of the Finance Director in the event the Finance Director is temporarily: (a) Absent from the Municipality, (b) Inaccessible, (c) Unable for any cause or reason, to perform the duties of the Finance Director. In the event that the Assistant Director of the General Division is vacant at the time that the Finance Director is temporarily unable to perform their duties pursuant to this section, the Mayor shall appoint an Acting Finance Director from within the Finance Department, until such time as the Finance Director is able to resume the performance of their duties.
