ISSUE: Proposed Natural Gas Aggregation. PURPOSE: Shall the Board of Trustees of Southington Township have the authority to aggregate the retail natural gas loads located in the Township, and for that purpose, enter into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of natural gas, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person elects to opt out?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets the Southington Township trustees buy natural gas in bulk for township customers, who are enrolled automatically unless they opt out.
A “No” vote means
A no vote does not grant the trustees this authority.
