The question, as printed on the ballot
An addtional tax for the benefit of the City of New Philadelphia for the purpose of parks and recreational purposes that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,335,678 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2.4 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $84 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 2.4-mill, 5-year property tax (about $1.34 million a year) for New Philadelphia parks and recreation.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
