The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Jerome Township (Unincorporated Area) for the purpose of Police Protection as a result of contracts made with other political subdivisions, that the county auditor estimates will collect $662,900 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.2 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $19 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.2-mill, 5-year property tax (about $662,900 a year) for contracted police protection in unincorporated Jerome Township.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
