A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of McArthur for the purpose of current operating expenses, that the county auditor estimates will collect $69,833 annually, at a rate not exceeding 4 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $85 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 4 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 4-mill, 4-year property tax for Village of McArthur current operating expenses, estimated to collect $69,833 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
On the McArthur East, Northwest and Southwest ballots. Ballot heading: "Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal) Village of McArthur". (The Secretary of State's issue list shows 3.5 mills; the ballot and the board's notice say 4 mills.)
