A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Washington County for the purpose of essential prevention, treatment, and recovery programs for children, adolescents, and adults at risk for mental illness and substance use disorders, that the county auditor estimates will collect $815,668 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $18 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.5-mill, 5-year county property tax for prevention, treatment and recovery programs for mental illness and substance use disorders, estimated to collect $815,668 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
