An additional tax for the benefit of Canaan Township for the purpose of fire and emergency medical services that the county auditor estimates will collect $395,115 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $88 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 3 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote adds a 2.5-mill, 3-year property tax for fire and emergency medical services in Canaan Township.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
