A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Chester Township for the purpose of road improvements, for the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads, and bridges in townships, that the county auditor estimates will collect $70,956 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.9 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $20 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.9-mill, 5-year property tax for road, street and bridge construction and repair in Chester Township.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
