Shall the Charter of the City of Rittman be amended to remove Section 9.05. If passed, this amendment would eliminate outdated language regarding the Civil Service Status of employees immediately after Rittman gained status as a city. Shall the Charter of the City of Rittman be amended by the addition of Section 3.09 The Council, Removal. If passed, this amendment would add a new section allowing for the removal of a member of City Council by other members of City Council for bad behavior, criminal conduct, or absenteeism. Shall Section 9.05 be repealed and Section 3.09 be added to the Charter of the City of Rittman?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote removes outdated civil service language (Section 9.05) and lets council remove a member for bad behavior, criminal conduct or absenteeism (new Section 3.09).

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves Section 9.05 in the charter and does not add Section 3.09.
