A “Yes” vote means
A vote FOR approves Ordinance 344-2026-06: an $80 wheel tax per motor vehicle ($50 for antique vehicles, motorcycles and some small vehicles) to build the county jail and repay its debt.
A “No” vote means
A vote AGAINST rejects Ordinance 344-2026-06 and its wheel tax for the county jail.
The Election Commission's site says voters are asked whether they are for or against adopting a wheel tax to pay for the new jail. The ordinance would sunset forty years after collection begins.
