The question, as printed on the ballot

"THIS IS A TAX INCREASE; an operation and maintenance tax for the district not to exceed one dollar and twenty cents ($1.20) per one hundred dollars ($100) valuation of taxable property."

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote authorizes an operation and maintenance tax of up to $1.20 per $100 valuation in the district.

A “No” vote means

A no vote does not authorize the tax.
