The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Article V, Section 4 of the City Charter of the City of Brownsville be amended to require a candidate for City Commission, or a current office holder, to not be personally delinquent in the payment of any taxes or other liability due the city or be disqualified by reason of any provision of any other section of the City Charter?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote requires City Commission candidates and officeholders not to be personally delinquent on taxes or other debts owed to the city.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves Article V, Section 4 of the charter unchanged.
