Shall Article V, Section 28(A) of the City Charter of the City of Brownsville be amended to authorize the Audit and Oversight Committee to engage external auditors, as the committee requires, in carrying out its responsibilities to include the authority to hire and terminate external auditors and advisors, as well as the responsibility to approve services and fees paid to such resources?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote lets the Audit and Oversight Committee hire and fire external auditors and advisors and approve their services and fees.

A “No” vote means

A no vote does not give the committee this authority in the charter.
