The question, as printed on the ballot

THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE; the issuance of $88,500,000 of bonds by the Childress Independent School District for the purpose of designing, constructing, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, modernizing, acquiring and equipping school facilities (and any necessary or related removal of existing facilities) consisting of renovations, security improvements and new construction at the Childress High School campus to create a combined secondary school for junior high and high school students, and the levy of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds.

A “Yes” vote means

Authorizes $88.5 million in Childress ISD bonds for renovations, security improvements and new construction at the high school campus for a combined junior high/high school, and taxes to repay them.

A “No” vote means

Childress ISD may not issue the $88.5 million in bonds for the combined secondary school project.
