THIS IS A TAX INCREASE RATIFYING THE AD VALOREM TAX RATE OF $1.2401 IN MORTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, A RATE THAT WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASE OF 10.02 PERCENT IN MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS TAX REVENUE FOR THE DISTRICT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AS COMPARED TO THE PRECEDING YEAR, WHICH IS AN ADDITIONAL $ 34,729.

A “Yes” vote means

A vote for ratifies Morton ISD's $1.2401 tax rate, which the ballot says raises maintenance and operations tax revenue 10.02 percent ($34,729) over last year.

A “No” vote means

A vote against does not ratify the $1.2401 rate.
