THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE. The issuance of $55,000,000 bonds for the Construction, Acquisition, Renovation, Expansion, Improvement and Equipment of School Buildings in the District, Including the Construction of a New Consolidated Elementary School, Safety and Security Upgrades to the High School and District-Wide Renovations to the Existing School Buildings, and the Purchase of New School Buses; and the levying of a tax to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds and the costs of any related credit agreements.
A “Yes” vote means
A "for" vote authorizes Rice CISD to issue $55,000,000 in bonds for a new consolidated elementary school, high school security upgrades, renovations and new buses, repaid by a tax.
A “No” vote means
An "against" vote rejects these bonds and the tax to repay them.
