THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE. The issuance of $12,000,000 of bonds for the construction, acquisition, renovation, rehabilitation, expansion, improvement and equipment of school buildings (including, but not limited to, elementary school and high school renovations, parking lot and student drop-off improvements, gymnasium improvements, a band hall, and career and technical education building improvements), and the levy and imposition of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds.
A “Yes” vote means
A "for" vote authorizes Weimar ISD to issue $12,000,000 in bonds for school building renovations and improvements, including a band hall, and to levy taxes to repay them.
A “No” vote means
An "against" vote rejects these bonds and the tax to repay them.
