THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $0.87861 per $100 valuation in Valley View Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 13.50 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the District for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $581,568.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote ratifies Valley View ISD's adopted tax rate of $0.87861 per $100 valuation for the current year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects that rate; the board may then not adopt a rate above the district's voter-approval tax rate.
