THIS IS A TAX INCREASE. The issuance of $443,000,000 general obligation bonds for public safety improvements and facilities, including fire, police and emergency services; the levying of a tax sufficient to pay principal and interest thereon; the estimated amount of repayment, including principal and interest based on current market conditions being $629,618,180.
A “Yes” vote means
A vote for authorizes the City of Dallas to issue $443 million in bonds for fire, police and emergency services facilities, and to levy a tax to repay them (about $629.6 million estimated).
A “No” vote means
A vote against does not authorize these bonds.
