THIS IS A TAX INCREASE Approving the ad valorem tax rate of $0.220055 per $100 valuation in the City of University Park, Texas for the current year, a rate that is $0.009665 higher per $100 valuation than the voter-approval tax rate of the City of University Park, Texas, for the purpose of increasing staff for the police department and the fire department, providing a pension adjustment for the Firemen's Relief and Retirement Fund (FRRF), and implementing technology for residential parking districts. Last year, the ad valorem tax rate in the City of University Park, Texas was $0.218565 per $100 valuation.

A “Yes” vote means

A vote for approves University Park's $0.220055 rate, $0.009665 above the voter-approval rate, for police and fire staff, a firefighter pension adjustment and parking-district technology.

A “No” vote means

A vote against rejects the $0.220055 rate; the city's rate cannot exceed the voter-approval tax rate.
