Duties of mayor: Shall Section 55 of the City of Odessa Home Rule Charter be amended to clarify the duties and authority of the office of the mayor as the head of city government for all ceremonial purposes, provide that the mayor shall have no administrative duties, and that the mayor shall have emergency powers as provided by Texas law?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote describes the mayor as head of city government for ceremonial purposes, with no administrative duties and emergency powers under Texas law.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves Section 55 of the charter unchanged.
